About Me

My name is Mary Hampson, and I am a qualified Counsellor and EMDR-CBT Behavioural Activation specialist based in Magherafelt, Mid Ulster, Northern Ireland. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I am experienced in supporting clients using a range of therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Behavioural Activation.

I strongly believe that the foundation of effective therapy lies in the quality of the relationship between client and therapist. Feeling safe, supported, and connected is essential for meaningful progress, regardless of the therapeutic approach used.
